Looking back, looking ahead W20/W19

Today is the end of Week 20, and Sunday marks exactly 19 weeks until race day. (AAAAAGH! The first week that doesn't start with a "2"! I feel a little queasy...)

What was I was supposed to do in Week 20? Did I do it?
  • Sunday: 3 miles YES!
  • Monday: strength training YES!
  • Tuesday: 2 miles YES!
  • Wednesday: 3 miles YES!
  • Thursday: 2 miles NOPE
  • Friday: strength training YES!
  • Saturday: 3 miles YES!
Not too bad, all things considered. I managed to do my Monday strength training in Georgia at 7 AM before getting into the car and driving home, and I had a wonderful Wednesday run outside. The only day I missed was Thursday because I was just too busy with my husband's birthday. I think that's forgivable--his birthday does only come once a year.

Here's what I'm supposed to do in Week 19:
  • Sunday: 3 miles
  • Monday: strength training
  • Tuesday: 2 miles
  • Wednesday: 3 miles
  • Thursday: 2 miles
  • Friday: strength training
  • Saturday: 3 miles
There is no group run next week, which makes me sad, but Annie and I may get together for a run on Thursday. I just hope the weather gets a little better, or I'm going to be spending a lot of time on the gerbil wheel.

It was another good week for fundraising. My oldest friend on the planet, Greg, whom I've known since second grade, donated (thank you, Greg!), my colleague Silvia sent a wonderful note along with her donation (thanks, Silvia!), my agility friend Brenda, who deserves a medal for recommending the excellent dogsitter I use, sent a donation and a nice note (thanks a million, Brenda!), and Lillian, a wonderful colleague and friend whose husband beat lymphoma a few years back, also made a generous donation (bless you, Lillian, you rock hardcore!). A total of twenty people have now donated, and I am honored and humbled by each of you who said yes, who said, "I want to help, I believe in you, I support you, I am behind you and your mom, I know you can do this." Thank you all so much.
