Well, you just read what I thought of the Mind Over Marathon meeting. Less than two weeks to go--I am ready for race day to arrive.
Today marks 13 days until the race, and there are 13.1 miles in the half, so tomorrow I will start posting my mile dedications--making sure I thank all the people that have contributed and helped me and saying a little something about each of them if I can. I will just use first names to protect people's privacy. If you really don't want to be mentioned in any way, e-mail me and I will blot out every pixel about you.
So, let's look at last week.
What was I supposed to do in Week 3? Did I do it?
- Tuesday: 5 miles NOPE (I was sick)
- Wednesday: CROSS-TRAIN YES!
- Thursday: 8 miles YES! (all 8, whoo-hoo!)
- Friday: CROSS-TRAIN NOPE (instructor was sick)
- Saturday: 8 miles (Group Run) YES!
- Sunday: 4 miles YES!
What's my schedule for Week 2?
- Tuesday: 4 miles
- Wednesday: CROSS-TRAIN (group class again)
- Thursday: 6 miles
- Friday: CROSS-TRAIN (private lesson in the morning)
- Saturday: 8 miles (last Group Run, along part of the race route!)
- Sunday: 3 miles
Time to get to bed. Every day from now until the race, I need to get to sleep at a decent hour...
